Kerala Mountain Backwaters Tour - Day To Day Itinerary
Day 01 : Cochin
On arrival in Cochin airport you will be met our tour executive and drive transferred to the Hotel. PM we proceed for the sightseeing of Cochin, the city famed as 'Queen of Arabian Sea, which takes you to Mattanchery Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church, The Oldest European Church in India, The Chinese Fishing Nets - living symbols of centuries Old Chinese influence. Overnight stay at Hotel
Day 02 : Cochin – Munnar ( 140Kms / 4.5Hrs )
After breakfast Breath-taking beauty and a haven of peace and tranquillity, Munnar is one of the most idyllic tourist destinations in Kerala. Set at an altitude of 6000 ft, Munnar was the favored summer resort of the British rulers in the colonial days. An unending expanse of tea plantations, pristine valleys and Kerala Mountains, exotic species of flora and fauna in its wild sanctuaries and forests, and the aroma of spice scented cool air, Munnar has all these and more. Check in at the Resort later in the evening walk around the Tea Estate just to feel the Hill station overnight stay Hotel
Day 03 : Munnar
After Breakfast, sight seeing in Munnar. Visit, Rajamala – The natural habitat of Nilgiri Tahr. Eravikulam National park – the home of Nilgiri Tahr. Mattupetty Lake and Dam is a very beautiful picnic spot. Echo point – The scenic place gets its name from the natural echo phenomenon. And Kundale Dam – It's a picturesque on the way to Top station. The Golf Course, The Kundala Artificial dam is another attraction. Overnight stay at Hotel Day 04: Munnar – Periyar (115Kms/3.5hrs drive)After Breakfast drive to Periyar and transferred to the Hotel.
Visit 'The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary' – Lying close to the plantations, in the rich jungles of Periyar in Thekkady is one of the fascinating natural wildlife reserves. It's spread across 777 sq. km, of which 360 sq. km is thick evergreen forest. This is the only sanctuary in India where you can have the unique experience of viewing wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat in the lake. Evening Wildlife Boating in Periyar Lake and enjoying Kerala Mountains traditional Kathakali dance show. Overnight stay at Hotel
Day 05 : Periyar – Kumarakom ( 125Kms ) - Alleppey ( By houseboat )
After breakfast drive to Kumarakom and at 12.00noon you will be embark your Deluxe Houseboat from Kumarakom boat jetty for a thrilling experience on the Kerala Mountains Backwaters as you traveling towards Alleppey. On this cruise you can enjoy beautiful villages, paddy fields, small churches, temples and day-to-day life of village people. Your crew will cook you delicious meals on board the boat. Over night stay on your Deluxe Houseboat.
Day 06 : Alleppey
After breakfast you will reach in Alleppey boat jetty, from were the car will pick you up and transferred to a backwater Resort. Rest of the day relax ( Option for Ayurveda massage). Evening visit to Alleppey beach and overnight stay at Hotel
